Duckett's Grove is a manor home in the Georgian style. Thomas Duckett purchased 500 acres of land in 1695 and then proceeded to build a spectacular home. The manor stayed with the family throughout the years. William Duckett died in 1909 and his widow moved to Dublin in 1915. In April of 1933, a fire broke out that destroyed much of the structure. The servant quarters survived and are still lived in. The surviving part of the manor is used a riding school while the rest has been abandoned. |
