Tower in Ballynard

This is believed to be built by the Chadwicks sometime in the middle 17^th century. The Chadwicks may have been part of the Cromwellian immigration from England. The manor house attached to the front was probably built later in the 18^th century. Ballynard is the town land on the high ground and also spelled Ballinard or Ballynahardy.
It is currently a private residence that is undergoing restoration.
